Position summary
Northeastern Public Health (NEPH) is seeking a highly motivated, experienced business professional to join our multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Supervisor of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization’s financial transaction processes and purchasing activities. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and strong internal controls across AP, AR, and procurement functions while leading a team and supporting overall financial health.
Job responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the full-cycle accounts payable process
- Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes
- Supervise procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management
- Lead, mentor, and develop AP, AR, and procurement team members
- Set and monitor performance goals in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
- Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in AP, AR, or procurement, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Current registration with the relevant regulatory body, such as a CPA or a recognized accounting designation is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procurement practices, including Broader Public Sector procurement
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
- Demonstrated computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and the ability to manipulate spreadsheets and databases.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant federal, provincial, and municipal legislation;
- Experience in creating, interpreting and analyzing spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Accuracy to attention and detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Satisfactory criminal reference check.
- Required to comply with Immunization policies including COVID-19 vaccination unless valid medical exemption is provided.
